As I was saying before in The Bronzed Edition: Part 1, I was on the search for the perfect bronzer. After going to Sephora and finding two bronzers that I had mixed feelings about, my next stop was Target. Since the Sephora bronzers were pricey, I decided to check out drugstore brands. There I found two bronzers that I heard about plenty about over Youtube and other blogs. So without further delay, I picked up NYC’s Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in “Sunny” and Rimmel London’s Natural Bronzer in “Sun Dance”.
NYC’s “Sunny” Bronzer
First thing I’d like to say about this bronzer that it’s VERY affordable. I bought it for $2.67! And you’re probably wondering if this product will be any good at such a low price? Well in my opinion it was! This bronzer was matte compared to the Rimmel bronzer. I liked the creamy texture of it. One downside to this bronzer was that it took several applications of it in order for show on my skin, but when the color did appear it gave my complexion a natural tan tint. I give it a thumbs up!
Rimmel London’s “Sun Dance” Bronzer
The color and pigmentation of Rimmel’s bronzer was similar to NYC’s; however, it had A LOT shimmer in it. Although it took several swatches in order for it to show just a bit of color, it definitely did not skimp on the shimmer. I think it’s too much glitter for my taste; however, it made my skin look more glowy and dewy under the sun. The texture was not as creamy as I would have liked it to be and that definitely aided to how little my brush was picking up. And a side comment: I did not like the packaging. The cap was very flimsy and fell off easily. All in all, if you love to have more sparkle on your face, this is the bronzer for you!
Both products are easily accessible at any local drugstore! So after reviewing 4 bronzers! I have concluded that my top two favorites are Too Faced Bronzer in “Sun Bunny” and NYC’s “Sunny”. Hope this helps you ladies find the bronzer that’s perfect for you!
