Some of you may remember makeup artist Carmen Tse from our “What’s in My Cosmetic Bag” feature we did with her some time ago. Well, Ingenue Coquette and Carmen have teamed up again to bring you some tips and suggestions that will get you ready for the Spring/Summer season! I got to ask her some questions about what we can do to change up our looks for the new season… here’s what she had to say:
As we move into the Spring/Summer season, what are some small changes us gals can make in our daily makeup routines to keep us fabulous and trendy?
A few things, one adding a makeup setting spray, As Spring and Summer are rolling around the corner and soon we will be sweating and enjoying the sun. Our makeup will slowly “melt away”, I strongly suggest a setting spray or a “fx” spray. Not only does this provide longevity for your makeup during the day but also “refreshes” you. My favourite is Mac Fix+ Spray; smells so refreshing too!, You can spray this after your makeup or carry it in your purse when you need a “pick me up”
Another one would be downsizing our makeup bags. It sounds silly but the less we carry, the more room we have for beach towels, bikinis, and of course shopping. It really does make a difference. Instead of carrying a lipstick, lipgloss, blush etc. Try a lipstain. Lip stains can be used on your lips and your cheeks (apply in moderation in the right colour of course). I really like Benefit Benetint or any lipstain from CoverGirl, ( they work and very affordable)

What new trends for Spring/Summer 2013 are you most excited about?
Im really excited for the bold eye liner, its going to be fun and very colourful of course, I can’t wait to get rid of my black and brown eye liner as its classic but not as fun as electric blue!
Bold Lips are something I always enjoy but this season I hear the colours are going to be Bold Orange, Red and even rumours have start that Bloody Red is coming in 😉
If you could only grab one makeup product to put in your bag as you run out for some fun in the sun, which would it be?
Waterproof Sunscreen… does that count? I would hate to ruin my skin by burning. That is definitely a essential for summer however if its makeup, then I would grab my Multiple in Orgasm by Nars, its compact and has many uses. I can use this on my cheeks, eyes and lips and it gives me a overall uniformed look 🙂
