Stila Jewel Single Eyeshadows

Once we ring in the New Year, it’s sad to say goodbye to the glitter and shine of the holidays. Turning the calendar doesn’t mean you have to trade in your bling for blah.  This year, Stila is helping us combat the dreary winter months with their new Stila Jewel Eye Shadow collection.

This collection includes eight  individual shadows in amethyst, aquamarine, citrine, opal, rose quartz, golden topaz, blue sapphire, and of course black diamond. The secret to the sparkle in these shadows is crushed pearl, which creates a soft shimmer that is flattering to women of all ages.  Use them dry to give yourself a sheer wash of jewel tone with just a hint of glimmer. This is a great pick me up for the shadows you already have in your collection.  You can add it to your everyday makeup to add depth and texture to your signature look. If you’re really looking to dazzle, apply these shadows with a wet brush to amp up the glam. The opal, citrine, rose quartz, and golden topaz can also be swept on the high points of your cheekbones and used as a highlighter.

As with any shimmery shadow, start your makeup routine with your eyes when you use this product.  Shimmery shadows create fallout under your eyes and cheek bones.  It’s easy to clean up the under eye area with a little bit of moisturizer and a sponge, then move to your foundation and concealer work.  That way you aren’t wasting time and product.   These shadows are gorgeous on the lid and also used as a soft eyeliner underneath the lash line.  As with all Stila shadows, the adjustable mood rings collection is buildable so you can get the amount of coverage you desire. and highly pigmented for all day wear. These shadows tend to blend best with a fluffy crease brush.

Every year we resolve to be more fabulous. You can be true to that every day and add a little glam to your life with these jewel toned shadows.

These shadows are available as part of Stila’s Spring 2012 collection at Sephora.  There’s also a great palette called Jewel Eye Shadow Trio made up of opal, rose quartz, and amethyst available exclusively on the stila website.
