Have you just bleached your hair? Or dyed it several times? Or maybe even gotten it chemically straightened or permed? Well friend what you need is some protein. And no I don’t mean eat a lot of meat your hair is made up of dead cells the only hair you’d be saving with fish and pork would be your roots because everything you ingest comes out in your hair. Of course that’s beside the point. What you need is moisture and protein for your hair. There are a myriad of products explicitly for this dilemma.
If your hair is in serious trouble like if it’s breaking off or seems like it’s falling out you need a protein pack, which is a deep conditioning treatment for one time use. You also need to buy a shampoo with protein and a reconstructor, which you should use once to twice a week. You should also be using a moisturizing conditioner every time you shampoo except the days you use a reconstructor. This is a lot of protein you’re throwing on your hair and I only suggest using this much if your hair is truly in serious trouble.
The reason you don’t want to use too much protein is because it can actually damage your hair. Now if your hair just feels dry and brittle don’t bother with the protein pack just invest in a protein shampoo and moisturizing conditioner. Either that or get a reconstructor and a moisturizing shampoo. This way you’re giving your hair back some much needed moisture while giving it enough protein to allow it to rebuild.
What to look for when you’re looking for protein packed products is keratin. Keratin is a protein found in skin, hair and nails. In fact it is the structural protein for hair. So anything with keratin in it is going to be beneficial to your stressed out hair.
My favorite products for tired and damaged hair are the following: Rusk Keratin Care Shampoo, Conditioner, and Deep Penetrating Treatment (ie. Reconstructor), Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair And Rescue Cream Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment, Enjoy Instant Reconstructor, L’anza Magic Bullet, and Redken Extreme Cat. All of these products are fantastic for dry and brittle hair and can really save your hair’s life.

Thank you so much! My hair has been a complete mess, as I dye, and bleach it frequently.
