Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask And Oil Treatment

I just wanna start by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Moroccan Oil line of products. I first was introduced to the Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment by my stylist as a styling serum for my dry hair. He showed me the best way to use the product, working it layer by layer through the ends of my hair and it made my hair look shiny and soft. Then a few months later, as I was looking for a deep conditioner I came across Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask which had some pretty amazing reviews and since I loved my little bottle of Oil Treatment already, I thought I would give it a shot. Wow. My hair has never looked healthier and my split-ends from constant heat-styling and coloring are nearly gone!

I’ll take you through my daily hair routine so you can get an idea of how I use these products.

In The Shower

To start, I only wash my hair about 3 times a week… I start, obviously, by shampooing my hair. I have a small collection of random shampoos, and I just use whatever shampoo suits my needs at the time – i.e. if I need a hydrating shampoo, clarifying, or something for color-treated hair. After I’ve rinsed my shampoo out, I’ll either wring the excess water out of my hair or use a small hand towel to lightly dry my hair. This makes it so that I get the full benefit of my conditioner, rather than diluting the product. Next, I use my regular conditioner from root to mid-length down my hair (Again, whatever conditioner suits my needs at the time) and then I use Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask for the remaining length of my hair, concentrating on the ends, which are usually the driest. I rinse everything out after five minutes to give the product some time to work its magic.

When Styling

After getting out of the shower I spray my hair with a leave in conditioner which also helps to detangle my hair when its wet. I prefer to let my hair air dry rather than using my hairdryer, so I’ll continue with other parts of my morning routine. Once my hair has dried and been styled (Lately, I’ve been using hot rollers for an easy but glamorous wavy or curly look – I may do a tutorial in the next few weeks) I work a very tiny amount of Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment through my hair, layer by layer (or curl by curl), concentrating on the ends. This finishes off my look to give me a silky shine and helps protect my hair from frizz throughout the day. It also helps to keep my hair style looking textured, rather having the curls and waves form one messy blob by the end of the day.

You can get Moroccan Oil products from your local hair salon, or you can also get it from Amazon if, like me, you’re too lazy to drive to the salon. Moroccanoil Oil Hair Treatment sells for between $18-$25 for a .85 oz bottle and it usually lasts me about 4-5 months. Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask sells for between $38-$45 and I’ve had mine for about 6 months now and have barely used an 8th of it.
