Even though it may not seem so from my previous posts, I’m not a huge makeup girl. For a short time a few months ago I played with makeup a bit, but then I decided it wasn’t really for me. You might still see a few posts by me on makeup, and perhaps girls who like a very natural look will find those useful. Instead, I’m big on skincare and I am a huge nail polish junkie.
I’m in a constant search for the best lip balm. And since I love having a lip balm located in all places I frequent (in my purse, at my office desk, and on my nightstand), I prefer to buy inexpensive ones. Lately I find myself stocking up on EOS lip balms.
These cutely packaged lip balms come in a variety of scents—summer fruit, lemon drop, honeysuckle, tangerine, and sweet mint. At first I thought the sphere shape of the balm would not work very well for application, but I have found it to work really well. With the normal stick lip balm packaging, I typically apply a layer to my lower lip, then to my upper lip. With the EOS lip balm, I keep my lips together and apply the balm to both my lower and upper lips at the same time. This requires less effort, and it’s just kinda fun and different.
I find the scents really amazing. My absolute favorites are sweet mint and lemon drop. I also really like the tangerine scent, but I was only able to use it a couple of times before I dropped it without its cover onto my car floor. I probably could’ve washed off the dirt, but it just wasn’t appealing to me. I guess this is a slight con to this balm, it can be easy to drop if you’re not careful, as I have nearly dropped this balm a couple of times now.
But overall, I am really happy with this product. I find that even after the balm has worn off, my lips are still decently moisturized. The packaging is so cute and fun, which actually makes it fairly easy to find in my huge abyss of a purse.
You can find these lip balms at many common stores, including CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Ulta. Prices vary, but I’ve found them to be around $3 each.

I love EOS chapstick! My friend actually drew the Koolaid man on her Summer Fruit one.
