Mirabella Colour Vinyl Lipstick

Spring is in full swing and I love playing with lip colors every new season. I got these Mirabella Colour Vinyl Lipsticks in the mail yesterday and couldn’t wait to try them out. Mirabella was gracious enough to send me three shades – Cherry Shine, Lavender Lustre, and Pink Polish. These lipsticks have a semi-sheer, shiny finish like lipgloss, but don’t feel super heavy or sticky on the lips.

Cherry Shine is a a warm cherry red, and my favorite of the three. I think it goes wonderfully with the yellow in my complexion and is a great red for the spring and summer seasons. Because of the sheerness of this lipstick, I would totally wear this casually during the day. I imagine myself lounging by the pool-side in my bikini, with Cherry Shine on my lips. Of course, I also imagine myself about ten pounds lighter in this little fantasy of mine, but what can I say? I’m a dreamer.

Lavender Lustre is a pretty  pink with cool undertones that goes from mauve to fuchsia with a couple extra coats. Fuchsia is usually my favorite lip color to wear, and Lavender Lustre lives up to those standards, but I still like Cherry Shine better for some reason.

Pink Polish is a very girly pink color that is maybe a bit too light for my lips, but I imagine it would look great on someone with a different complexion than I have.

I would definitely exfoliate your lips and use lip balm before applying these lipsticks because they tend to drag, causing any dead skin on your lips to be more noticeable. Their website advertises ten hours of wear-time, but for me it was more like four to five, which I think is still impressive given that it does have a glossy finish.
