FOTD: Peacock

Hello! Today I bring you my Peacock FOTD, which is way more makeup than I would wear on a normal day (or night), but I really wanted to create something more colorful and dramatic for you guys. I created this look using mostly the Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Book of Shadows, which unfortunately isn’t being sold by UD anymore, but they have lots of similar colors. Here’s the run-down:

Base + Lower-line: L’Oreal HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner, Midnight Blue, applied all over lid.
Inner corner: Stila the Precious Pearl Palette – White Gold
Inside (Green): Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland – Absolem
Middle (Blue):  Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland – Alice
Outer Corner (Purple):   Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland – Underland
Crease:  Stila the Precious Pearl Palette – Deep Blue
Brow bone:  Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland – White Rabbit
Eyeliner: L’Oreal HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner, Black
Mascara: Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

I’m not really one to deviate from my normal face makeup routine – I wear pretty much the same foundation, powder, bronzer/contour, and blush, so this might get repetitive after a while:

Foundation: MAKE UP FOR EVER Mat Velvet
Powder: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Medium
Contour: Benefit Cosmetics Boxed Powders Collection – Hoola
Cheeks: MAC Sheertone Blush: Pinch Me

Lipstick: Benefit Cosmetics Silky-Finish Lipstick Good-to-Go

In case anyone was wondering, I curled the top layers of my hair with hot rollers and while I was waiting for those to cool, I curled the bottom layers with a 1 inch ceramic curling iron. For my bangs, I flipped them to the opposite direction of where I usually part my hair, then put them in a hot roller. After it cooled, I flipped my bangs to the normal side for more volume. I’m going to do a tutorial soon on three different techniques to curl hair using hot rollers, a curling iron, and a flat iron.
