IMATS NY 2012: Makeup Galore! (Part 2)

Here’s Part 2 of my products/exhibitors photos from IMATS NY 2012. I know it took me a while to post this up, but I’ve been a bit preoccupied, so I apologize! Hopefully our my IMATS posts have been keeping you entertained. I’m actually jealous of Anisha and Jiwon because they’ll be attending IMATS LA in a couple months and there will be twice as many makeup brands there; including Illamasqua and Sugarpill!

Now, without further ado…

Here are some more of my IMATS photos

Cailyn Cosmetics

I actually purchased three shimmer mineral powders from Cailyn Cosmetics for a combined total of $20, and they were nice enough to throw in a fourth for free! I got Sable, Golden Copper, Copper Cocoa, and Deep Purple. I LOVE each shade – they are highly pigmented and really easy to work with, especially when applied wet.

I swatched and did a mini-review in my IMATS Haul video.

INGLOT

Surprisingly, I didn’t pick anything up from INGLOT even though I was really excited about them when I first got to IMATS. The line was just too long, and I really didn’t have the patience to wait haha. They had an amazing array of colors and products, as usual.

NYX

As with INGLOT, NYX had a line that was so long it looked like people were trying to get into the hottest new nightclub in New York City, so again, I didn’t have the patience to wait in line to purchase anything.

MUD

I really liked the blushes from MUD Cosmetics; they had some really pretty shades.

Mehron Cosmetics

I actually picked up an eyeshadow from Mehron but it broke by the time I got back to Boston. I’m going to repack it this weekend and perhaps post a video tutorial on how to repack and repair broken eyeshadows.

Bling Collection

I fell in love with this blinged out eyelash curler from the Bling Collection.

Naked Cosmetics

Naked Cosmetics had a skin lotion that I want to try out in the future; it’s an organic moisturizer that is supposed to have healing qualities, which helps with things like eczema, psoriasis (which something I deal with), etc.

Velour Lashes

I’ll admit, I was drawn to this booth because the Asian rep there (Mabel?) looked exactly like someone I know from Boston. She explained that these lashes are made of natural animal hair (cruelty free) and are worn by celebrities like JLo and Madonna. You can wear these lashes up to 25 times, and the retail price is between 200-300 a set, but they were selling them for $20 at IMATS.
