How lovely is this smokey lavender eye paired with long wavy tresses at the Jill Stuart show? Perfect look to sport for when you’re out with your Valentine tonight; don’t you think? I personally love this look; I wish my hair were a little longer so I could achieve the whole effect. Make sure you look at the photos at the end of the post to see the entire look! Odile Gilbert for Kerastase Paris and Diane Kendal for Jill Stuart Cosmetics created this look for Jill Stuart’s dark and romantic collection, and if you’re thinking about trying this look out for yourself, here’s a few tips:
Makeup
- Apply black eyeliner on your top and bottom line, then smudge and blend it out to create a softer look.
- Pat on a matte purple/lilac eyeshadow all over lid and along lower line and blend out into the lid. Try Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Jolie Poupee.
- Apply black mascara on upper and lower lashes.
- Use a pink stain or tint on your lips.
- Keep your face natural looking by using a tinted moisturizer – skip blush, and apply bronzer and highlighter modestly.
Hair
- Prep damp hair by applying mousse and a heat protectant spray.
- Blow-dry hair using only the dryer and your hands – do not use a brush!
- Create care-free waves by using a two inch curling iron and loosely curling sectioned hair, leaving the ends free.
- Apply a styling serum to the ends of your hair – try Moroccan Oil!
- Pull fingers through your wavy hair and then use hairspray.
