“Let’s Talk” about Sinful Colors

I was at a local Walgreens this week when a price tag caught my eyes. Nail polish for $1.99! The array of colors on display for a killer price was impressive.  I admit I was reluctant to make a purchase thinking it might be a horrible polish when I noticed “Let’s Talk”. The bottle is gorgeous and the color is vibrant and loud.  I love flamboyant nail colors and this color has my name all over it.  For $1.99, the formula is impressive.  It came on nicely but for me to get the true color of the bottle, I had to put on three applications.  Compare Sinful Colors to some of my other affordable brand, this polish dry much faster than I expected which is a pleasant surprised.  The drawback of the polish sadly enough is that it chips pretty easily.  This picture was taken two days later and as you can tell, the tip of my nails already started chipping.  That’s sad considering that when I apply nail polish, I usually put on an extra coat at the tip to minimize chipping since I’m a heavy keyboard user.  Would I buy this again? Definitely if I’m looking to just wearing fun colors and I plan to do my nails again in a week.

For example, their lime green (innocent #944) only takes me 2 coats to get the true color, however their pearlescent pink (bali mist #387) still doesn't give the true color after 3 or 4 coats, and takes forever to dry. I'm also a huge fan of the nail art polishes they offer, I have both "sour grapes" (electric purple) and "bad chick" (white) both of which give good color the first time. overall, I think it's a good nail polish for the price. Read Less
