Every season, our skin’s condition tends to change creating new demands on your skincare routine. In the summer, your skin may become oilier and in the winter, it may experience drier skin than normal. It’s important to have a skin care routine that you trust all year round. Don’t forget the product changes that you have to make to adjust to the changing season and your changing skin.

I hope you ladies cleanse, tone and moisturize your face 1-2 times a day. In the summer, our face tends to produce more oil and sweat. Therefore, use an oil-free cleanser in order to control the shine on your forehead and T-zone area. It is important to protect your face from the blazing summer sun with sunscreen like Philosophy’s Hope Oil-Free SPF. Make sure that the sunscreen is made for the face because body sunscreen can have larger amounts of harsh chemicals that can damage your facial skin. Moisturizing is still in important in the summer because when we cleanse we are stripping our face of necessary oils so we need to make sure our skin is adequately hydrated. As our skin conditions change season to season, so does our lifestyles. It is important to rest at least 8 hours every night. Having a healthy, balanced diet will definitely improve skin’s condition. Vitamin-C rich foods are great for skincare and also can help prevent wrinkles. Don’t forget the last important step: exercise! Exercise helps you deal with stress, which can wreak havoc on your skin.
