With Halloween around the corner, and many of us attending costume parties this weekend, I just wanted to repost some of mine and Anisha’s favorite last-minute touches before everyone starts celebrating.
Vampire Makeup
Still haven’t found a costume for this year? Try this quicky Vampire Makeup Look that I sported last year:
This look was really easy and quick to achieve – I had spilled food on my original sailor costume and ended up just throwing on a vampy outfit and some thigh high boots, and then throwing this makeup together. Here’s how:
- Apply black eyeshadow as a base – I used myFace Cosmetics Blingtone in Black Ice
- Pack on some red eyeshadow all over the lid, blending it into the black to darken it up – I used a red from my Coastal Scents 88 palette.
- Use your black shadow with a small contour brush to deepen the crease of your eye.
- Create a dramatic cat-eye with black liquid or gel liner.
- Apply mascara generously.
- Fill your lips with your favorite red lipstick, and make a smudge down the side of your mouth to create the blood trickle.
- Use a sponge or small fluffy brush to feather your foundation around the edges of the blood.
- You are done! Fill in your eyebrows, contour/highlight your cheekbones however you usually do, and you are ready to party.
Berry Vampiric Nails
Anisha created this vampy ombre mani, that’s a perfect match for my Vampire makeup above, by using the following products:
- Base Coat: CND – Toughen Up Base Coat
- Berry: Wet N Wild – Haze of Love
- Black: L.A. Girl Flare – Black
- Top Coat: Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
Well, that’s all I wanted to share! Hope these tips help any of you last-minute planners. I’m off to go find some shoes to wear – This year, I’m going to be a classic bombshell bunny, and I think my makeup is going to be pretty simple – just a cat eye and some berry/fuchsia lipstick. What are you going to be for Halloween?
