Cailyn Cosmetics Gelux Eyebrow 04 Cocoa Product Review and Swatches

I have a confession. I’m obsessed with eyebrows.

Whenever I’m watching tv, I always comment on the actresses’ eyebrows. Eyebrows play a HUGE part in how the rest of your face sort of… comes together. It frames the rest of your features.My eyebrows have certainly evolved over time, and I’m extremely anal retentive about their shape. With age, I find I’m wearing less and less makeup – I’m more comfortable going out without a full face of it now than I was when I was 21, but I absolutely WILL NOT leave the house without filling in my eyebrows.

So, you see… it stands to reason that my standards for brow products are a bit stricter than other articles of makeup. Does Cailyn Cosmetics Gelux Eyebrow make the cut? ABSOLUTELY. I love this product! It says it’s a gel product but it’s definitely more of a pomade, and Cailyn’s unique and functional product packaging makes it easy to use and convenient. I actually keep this product in my purse for when I go to yoga or work out. I always want to be able to fix my eyebrows. in case I sweat my makeup off or have to wash my face.

I’m not sure if it’s the formula or the applicator, but Cailyn has made it extremely easy to build coverage with their Gelux Eyebrow – you can easily start very lightly on the inside, and build it so that it’s darker and sharper on the outside, as many women like to fill in their brows.

I bought Cailyn Cosmetics Gelux Eyebrow in 04 Cocoa at The Makeup Show LA, and it’s a pretty good shade for me though a little darker than what I’m used to. I like the change though. Before this product, I was a huge stickler for Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo, but I actually like Gelux better because I can produce neater and sharper lines.
