Fashion Houston 2014

I had the privilege of attending the Opening Night of Fashion Houston 2014 this past Tuesday and viewed lovely collections from some very talented designers. I spent most of the night snapping away and I ended up with over 1,000 photos to reminisce over….and narrow down. So let me share with you some of my favorites from the night and let me know which piece was your favorite!

First to present was Alexis Monsanto, an L.A based designer. Watching his collection walk down the runway was like watching a dramatic play. Each gown had a story to tell and he made sure we saw it in head dresses all the way down to how the dresses flowed down the runway.

By far my favorite show was Tibi Spring 2015 collection! My style is pretty basic and I felt that the designer, Amy Smilovic, took the most basic pieces and created something new and refreshing! It also gives me a glimpse of what to expect for the upcoming Spring season. It was hard to narrow down my favorites from her collection because everything was up my alley!

Houston native designer, Jonathan Blake, wowed the crowd with his colorful collection ranging from chic jumpsuits to beautiful evening gowns. His collection definitely had me excited for Spring and Summer!

Sameera Faridi blinded the audience with her sparkling collection of Indian inspired garments with a modern twist. Each piece had a unique element to them and not to mention all the beads were tediously hand sewn.

Anddddd I don’t know what better way to end a fashion show than with some Grungy Gentleman with featured eye candy, Don Benjamin and Will Jardell, modeling the line!
