MAC Guilty Passions – 4 Nicely Nude Gloss Kit

Since I usually go pretty dramatic on my eyes, I’ve come to rely on nude lips to tone down my look – No one likes a clown face. So when I was purchasing the prize for our December Makeup Madness Giveaway on, I was extremely tempted to also buy this 4 piece nude lip gloss kit too. So tempted, I just went ahead and added it to my cart. I really have no self control, haha.

Let me just start by saying that I love this year’s holiday packaging! It’s so cute – I think I might use the box for something else, but I haven’t thought of what yet. Anyway, believe it or not, these are the only four lip glosses I have from MAC. I usually buy a lot of their eyeshadows and lipsticks. I tend to like my lips really matte, rather than shiny. Well, I’m glad I got this set, because it really amps up my look without going overboard.

This Nicely Nude Gloss Kit includes 1 Dazzleglass in Get Rich Quick, 1 Dazzleglass Creme in Satin Slip and 2 Cremesheen Glass in Fashion Whim and Kiss Don’t Tell.

MAC Fashion Whim Cremesheen Glass

Fashion Whim is a light beige color with very little sparkle to it, and comes with a doe-foot applicator. It would be a very versatile nude gloss for anyone with fair complexion. It’s only semi-opaque so you might want to wear it over a nude lipstick.

MAC Satin Slip Dazzleglass Creme

Satin Slip is a peachy gloss with gold/pink shimmer with a brush applicator. I could wear this alone just to give my lips some sparkle and warm them up a bit, but I would also wear it over lipstick since it is a bit sheer.

MAC Kiss Don’t Tell Cremesheen Glass

Kiss Don’t Tell is a warm chocolatey brown with a doe-foot applicator. I might wear this alone with a nude/beige eye since it is a bit dark. This is probably my least favorite in this kit because I don’t have much use for it, with my complexion.

MAC Get Rich Quick Dazzleglass Creme

Get Rich Quick comes with a brush applicator and is very similar in color to Kiss Don’t Tell, but with a lot of gold shimmer. I might wear this to deepen up my lip color and add some shimmer.

All four lip glasses lasted about 3 hours for me and have a very pleasant vanilla scent. For a truly nude lip, Fashion Whim is a little bit too light for me to wear by itself, while Kiss Don’t Tell is too dark, so I tend to wear both of them on top of each other to get a nice medium shade that matches my complexion well. Tonight, I wore Get Rich Quick on top of these two to give my lips some sparkle.

The MAC Nicely Nude Gloss Kit is available on for 32.50 – I think it would make a great holiday gift for anyone since nude is an extremely versatile color for people with all types of complexions.
